Liz Sellers is a Senior Associate at Tobin | Parnes Design and AIA member. She has over 10 years of experience in the field of architecture, beginning her career as a summer intern at a mid-size architecture firm in her hometown of Birmingham, Alabama. Immediately after obtaining a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the College of Architecture Art + Design at Mississippi State University, she worked at a small architecture firm in Birmingham. Upon moving to New York, Liz worked as an in-house architectural designer and project manager for a large corporation, working on projects for the corporation, its subsidiaries, and the chairman/CEO.
Liz is excited to transition back to an architecture firm after working directly with a client for more than seven years. She has a broad range of experience including workplace, mixed-use, adaptive reuse, residential, restaurant, educational, healthcare, core and shell, and LEED projects. She has strong skills in project management, construction documents, design coordination, and construction administration. Liz shows great attention to detail and has the ability to see the big picture when making design decisions. She develops great working relationships through her willingness to collaborate and her creative problem solving. With the ever-changing nature of the design and construction industries, Liz approaches each project as an opportunity to continue to grow and learn.
