I. Miller Shoe Building — Times Square, NYC
An unassuming 4-story structure located in the heart of Times Square in New York City, this historic building will undergo a restoration and renovation to bring back its historical theater significance. Working with the building owners in conjunction with the NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission, TPDE has carefully outlined a restoration and rehabilitation master plan and scope of work designed to retain and clean, and where necessary, replace with new. Standout details include marble window frames, original wood windows and most importantly, 4 individual statues depicting leading performers of the 1920’s prominently displayed within niches sculpted by Alexander Sterling Calder. |
