Bob Parnes Appointed Commissioner

Bob Parnes was appointed Commissioner of the Paterson Historic Preservation Commission. Parnes was officially sworn in by Paterson City Mayor Jose Torres on May 31, 2007.
TPDE Promotes Andrea Dibner to Principal
After serving as a senior associate at Tobin+Parnes Design Enterprises for more than 9 years, Andrea Dibner has been promoted to a principal with the firm.
Andrea’s background includes training in architecture, civil engineering and construction management. She received a BA in Architecture from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY and an ME in Civil Engineering and Construction Management from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ.
She is the recipient of numerous awards and scholarships, including The Dobbelaar Family Award for Outstanding Performance in Construction Management, New York Society of Architects’s Matthew W. Del Gaudio Memorial Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Profession and for Excellence in Total Design, Pratt Excellence in Design Award, Pratt Circle Award, Williams Trust Scholarship, Fisher Scholarship, Presidential Scholar Award and Smith Scholarship.
Andrea is an associate member of the American Institute of Architects and the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
TPDE Promotes Akiko Yamada to Senior Associate

Tobin+Parnes is proud to announce Akiko Yamada’s promotion to Senior Associate. Akiko’s responsibilities include all aspects of project management, from conception through completion.
Akiko’s background includes architecture study in Copenhagen with Denmark International Studies. Akiko also worked as an architectural exhibition designer for Dennis Sharp Architects in London. She designed and managed notable exhibitions, including the Retrospective Exhibition of Kisho Kurokawa and Aga Khan Award for Architecture, both held at the Royal Institute of British Architects.
Akiko received a Bachelor of Architecture degree with a double major in International Studies from North Dakota State University and is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Real Estate Development at New York University where she received Dean’s Graduate Fellowship.
